FAQ's

  • Do I need to fulfill all of my New Jersey medical licensure state mandates even if the state is under the COVID-19 state of emergency?
    Yes, the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners voted to keep all medical licensure requirements as is; meaning, an osteopathic physician and an allopathic physician both need 100 hours of CME credits between July 1st, 2019- June 30th, 2021 of which 50 must be AOA Category 1-A CME Credits and/or PRA Category 1 CME Credits ™. You also must complete 2 CME Hours of End-of-Life and 1 CME Hour of Alternatives to Opioids. Many hospitals also require 1 CME Hour of HIPPA training.

  • Will virtual version of AROC 2020 award AOA Category 1 CME Credits and PRA Category 1 ™ CME Credits?
    Yes, the entire conference will be streamed LIVE allowing you to earn LIVE Category 1 CME Credits in BOTH categories.

  • How will I able to access AROC 2020 virtually?
    At the beginning of September, each registrant will receive their link to access the convention starting on September 9th. This link will be emailed to all participants. If you have not provided your email to NJAOPS, please contact Pat McNamara at pmcnamara@njosteo.com or Alice Alexander at aalexander@njosteo.com. NJAOPS will continue to hold a virtual registration desk where you can call to report any problems such us logging into the system.

  • How will you know that I am participating?
    The robust system will be able to measure participation by throwing out either a letter or a simple question onto your screen that you will have to answer. This will serve as you “signing in” for that session and fulfill AOA’s, ACCME’s, AAFP’s and other specialty college’s requirements.

  • How will I submit my attestation form?
    The back-end system will be measuring your participation with every lecture that you attend virtually. After each session, a certificate will be generated and then one overall certificate will be made available within your platform profile (Offered through CE21, a leader in virtual conferencing). A paper version can also be submitted as a back-up directly to NJAOPS via

  • Will NJAOPS still submit my credits on my behalf?
    Yes, NJAOPS will submit all of your CME credits directly to the AOA and ACCME. The AOA limits our CME reporting to 90-days which means all attestation forms must be sent to us by December 7th, 2020 in order for us to submit them on-time to the AOA.

  • Will NJAOPS offer an exhibit card discount this year?
    Yes, NJAOPS will be offering an exhibit card discount this year as well. This feature will be a digital-only solution that is captured through the system (vs. a physical card with signatures)More details on this will be provided shortly.

  • Is AROC 2020 going to be pre-recorded and offered for Category 1-B CME Credits?
    ​Yes, AROC 2020 will be pre-recorded and offered on the WWW.DOCME.ORG platform for category 1-B CME credits until September 12th, 2021.

AROC is annually hosted in Atlantic City by the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (NJAOPS). Founded in 1901, NJAOPS is a member-supported professional medical association that represents the interests of over 3,600 osteopathic physicians, residents, interns and medical students in the state.
